This blog is a work of love.
I created this blog to share my respect for Baja and its people. It’s also meant to be a practical, useful, “how-to” guide for Baja residents and visitors.
Unless otherwise noted, the entire content of this site is written, photographed or recorded by Mike Brozda. I make no money from this site and would not accept remuneration in any form were it offered. I cover all expenses for travel, lodging, food or incidentals in any article I write.
I make every effort to adhere to the highest journalistic standards of reporting. Where possible, I conduct fact checking against two or more independent sources. I regret errors and welcome responsible, thoughtful comments by readers.
My professional background includes seven years as a staff editor for Sunset Magazine based in Menlo Park and Los Angeles, California. I have also worked for many years as a freelance writer for a wide variety of publications, the City of Los Angeles, and radio station KUSC-FM. I served as editor of Ethics Magazine. For the past 15 years, I have worked in various marketing and public relations functions for National Semiconductor, Netro Corporation, GreatLifeStories.com, and Intersil Corporation.
Passions (in addition to writing) include surfing, snowboarding, world travel, and art collecting. I live in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico, with Penny, my wife of 18 years, our Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle, Zoe, and tres gatitos locos.
